Our Competition Cheer Team is designed for athletes who are ready to take their cheerleading experience to the next level and begin developing the skills, confidence, teamwork, and performance ability needed for competitive cheer.
This program introduces athletes to a structured, novice-level competitive environment while focusing heavily on proper technique, safety, and progression. Athletes will train throughout the season to learn and perfect a complete competition routine.
What to Expect
Competition athletes will train in:
Stunting and stunt progression
Pyramid building and transitions
Jumps and proper technique
Beginner/low-level tumbling
Motions, timing, and synchronization
Dance and choreography
Formations and transitions
Facials, showmanship, and performance skills
Strength, flexibility, and conditioning
Teamwork, accountability, and sportsmanship
Learning and performing a complete competition routine
Novice Competition Level
Our competition program begins at a low-level/novice division, allowing athletes to learn how competitive cheer works without immediately placing them into advanced-level skills or expectations.
Our goal is to build a strong competitive foundation now so that, as our athletes and program continue to develop, WBX can progress toward larger competitions, higher skill levels, and more advanced competitive opportunities in the future.
Travel & Commitment
Competition cheer requires a higher level of commitment than recreational cheer. Athletes are expected to attend practices consistently, be coachable, work as a team, and participate in scheduled competitions and performances.
Families should be prepared to travel for competitions. Most events will be selected within approximately a 3–6 hour driving radius, depending on competition availability and the needs of the team.
Because every athlete has an important position within a competition routine, attendance, commitment, and teamwork are essential.

Dress Code & Safety Requirements:
Athletes must wear black athletic wear, athletic shoes, hair up, and no jewelry during practice.
